Ali Rae
Ali Rae Foods is based in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and was founded by Ali Rae Perpall, a Southern cook through and through — with deep family roots in traditional cooking on both sides. A veteran of large-scale event planning and fine dining, Ali pivoted during the pandemic to return to her roots and true passion: her grandmother’s recipes.
By combining local and regional ingredients, her cheeses quickly became a hit at tailgate markets across the area. What began as a pimento cheese company has grown into a full line of small-batch cheeses, spreads, and dressings — now found at multiple weekly markets and high-end retail shops throughout the region.
Now in her fifth year, Ali is looking ahead: expanding her offerings, exploring private dinners, event catering, and custom menu planning.
